Option Set not visible when adding auto complete to default country field.

I want to utilize the auto-complete feature for the default country field in our Dynamics instance. I have created the option set with a list of countries. I am unable to see it in the dropdown list to be selected when I am configuring the field controls. I have published all a few times to see if it would display and have had no luck. Am I missing a step here?

    I actually figured this out. In my case, the field needed to exist on the form for me to be able to use it. So I created a field to capture the options set and hid it from end-users.
