BOM Lines form very slow on closure ( more than 10minutes )

Hi,

i'm experiencing high delays with some released products.

When i close the BOM lines for a certain product, ax starts processing and it takes up to 10minutes to get the program ready again.

I noticed it makes a call to BOMConsistOf.checkBOM() method, which is sort of a check for circularity in BOM lines. Can this be avoided somehow (by parameters, or whatever)?

I have similar issues when i release a production order, can this be related somehow?

    There is the inventory and warehouse management parameter "Level of circularity" (BOMParameters.CheckBOMWhen) that seems to influence the circularity check.

    But I know from AX 2009 that there are some circularity checks that are done regardless of this or any other parameter. These checks created performance problems for a customer, so we deactivated them.

    You can install a patch to uncheck the BOM Circularity flag against the BOM ID every time it's modified or a new BOM ID is created.
