Hi~
should I use one master data for muti-entities in GP if purchasing cost is different for each entity ?
we have one store in NY and another in VA.
I implied GP 2018 2 months ago with one item master data.
But NY is HQ to control ERP system but store integrates with a different POS now.
Can you advice on this ?
Hi,
Thank you for using Microsoft Communities.
Microsoft Dynamics GP does not have any default core functionality for Multi-entity management or setup. I do believe there are some third party products which connect into GP for Multi-entity functionality. I will let the members of the community respond regarding multi-entity functionality.
Thank you,
Janelle

Hi Sunflower,
please define "multi-entities" ? You're asking if you can assign different purchasing 'cost' to different items.... are you also going to sell the items under different prices, depending on the store / location where the item is sold ?
GP can handled different purchasing costs from various vendors, but you have little control over which to use for which customer..
A 3rd-party add-on would be helpful to manage the price lists for various customers, like Rockton Pricing Management: www.rocktonsoftware.com/.../
A multi-entity management solution is mostly geared towards accounts and financial reporting:

Though using a tool like MEM brings its own drawbacks:
