Hello all,

I have created a Pending Vendor Invoice in Dynamics 365 FO using Vendor Invoice Header & Vendor Invoice Lines data entities.

Now all I want is not only to create the Pending Vendor Invoice, but also to show up an hyperlink URL in that vendor invoice record.

Its like adding an URL attachment into that form.

Can I do that automatically from any standard data entity calls? i.e. the Data Entity call will create the Pending Vendor Invoice and insert a hyperlink inside it, so that when we open the vendor invoice record we can see the clickable link and can click it to directly open it. Does any standard data entity exist that solves this problem?

Please help. The URL attachment is similar to the pic below, but only thing is instead of manually creating it, I want to automate its creation and that too by calling a proper Data Entity through OData services.

See, what I want to do is add an attachment of the type URL inside a form programmatically.

Step 1: Create a new URL-type attachment inside a form, say Pending Vendor Invoices form. Populate it by URL value say https://www.google.co.in

Step 2: Save the attachment, refresh the form. You will see the URL attachment created in the form just like the pic below.

I want to do exactly this. But not manually. I want to execute a job (piece of code) which will automatically create this URL attachment within a D365 form.

Please suggest.

I am not looking for creating deep links to forms and publish it else where.

What I am looking for is to create an URL inside a D365 form. Suppose I want to attach an URL to www.google.com inside a Dynamics form. Please see the image that I have attached in the original question.

Yes, what you are saying is right. I can always add an attachment of the type URL in the form. But I want to automate it so that the user dont have to do that manually.

Once I post a Pending Vendor Invoice through an OData call (calling VendorInvoiceHeader data entity), I want to automatically attach an url in the form.

Hello Sagnik Majumder,

Why do you need this URL in the form itself?

The standard application offers adding that in the document attachment, which is just one click more for a user.

You need customization on the entity where you are creating pending vendor invoices. Creating links through code is possible but what you are looking for is not available out of the box.

I don't think it's possible out of the box, but here's instructions on how to create such URLs in code.
