Is there documentation from Microsoft or anyone else outlining all the security roles within Dynamics 365 with a breif description of its function?
We would like to design our Role Based Access Control around our business and I need to have a list of the out of the box Security roles to consider how we assign rights to the system.

Unfortunately, there is no introduction to every security role in D365, because based on its name, such as Salesperson, Sales Manager, etc., we can know the corresponding business functions.
Moreover, there is no standard security role template that can be applied to all company business roles, we must modify the appropriate security roles according to our own business requirements.

I apologise, I may not have been as clear in my head as I should be. I understand how the roles work, I’m trying to work out how I take the out of the box roles and assign them to meet the needs of the business roles.
The job roles (within the business) and the Security roles (within Dynamics) do not match and I need to work out which Dynamic role we assign to the business role to ensure they can perform their job function within the system without providing the users with more access than required.
