Project Revenue recognition- Field "internal"

Hello, 

Does anyone know what does the field "internal" here do? Functionnaly, to what does it correspond ?

Path: Project management and accounting > Projects > All projects

Then on a fixed price project;  tab manage > process > estimate then final tab: "totals"
