Dual write - Cross company or company specific entities issue with Customer groups

Hi team,

I am trying to setup Dual write in Tier 2 environment on a customer's sandbox instance.
After enabling the dual write and mapping few tables, when trying to run the table mappings on Customer groups (msdyn_customergroups), I am seeing below error with the initial sync from F&O to Dataverse.

Project validation failed. [DIPV1002] Customer groups or AX is a cross-company entity that doesn't have primary company field set and msdyn_customergroups of CRM is a company-specific entity with primaryCompanyField set to msdyn_company.cdm_companycode. Please make sure the entities are both cross-company or company-specific entities.

Customer groups is a default group and dual write should allow you to run the sync. Can any one help me with your insights and a fix to this?

    Hello,

You wanna confirm to us that you have already pushed your companies(legal entities) to CE; alongside the payment terms.
Make sure you do those and try to push the customer group again.

    Hello @komi siabi,

I have a dual write mapping in running state which does push companies onto CE.
    Legal entities (cdm_companies)
Still the customer groups doesnt run with the initial sync.

    Hi,

Ensure that you have legal entities - companies table map running and is initial sync is also performed.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Hi Avinash,

Do you have cross-company data sharing enabled for this or a related table? If so, Dual Write and Cross company data sharing are not supported together. This is mentioned in the documentation.

I figured it out yesterday. Firstly I recommend you to run a dual-write with a cdm_company (I hope you have this in your dual-write list, I had it - Picture 1). Then you should go to your table you want to sync in PowerApps and create a row with a "Lookup" data type and link it with the Company table (Picture 2). The final step is to define this row in integration keys (Picture 3).

I hope this helps. I spent a day trying to resolve the same problem and it helped me.
