HI guys, i just wanted to know if the sales module and sales in field service is different. Quotes and opportunity created in sales inside field service can be accessed in sales module or vice versa?

I have the same question (0)

If you are using the most recent online version, all the data lies in Common Data Service.

The opportunities created from sales module and field service module are stored in same opportunity entity. Same applies to quote also.

Speaking of accessing the data created from one app in another i.e. opportunity created in Sales module to be accessed from field service modules, YES you can access it if you have a view configured with proper filetes and added to Field service app.

But one thing to keep in mind is, the forms that are used to display the data in both apps are different. The forms are created specific to modules.

So, technically you can access the data if you have all the forms and views added to the app. (This might defeat the basic purpose of the app)

Unless you have a strong business requirement, it is not suggested to add these to single app.

    Hi Partner,

If you created a Lead record from a Field service App -> Sales Tab, same records are accessible and reflected in sales hub  App as well.

The only possible change could be the Form that loads for Lead entity in sales hub and within Field service App as the form might have selected according to the App and module however record will  be available.

    Hi asism,

You could access quote records in both apps. It depends how your apps design.

Quotes used the same entity in both sale module and sale in Field Service. But they use different form and view per app.

You should be aware of the different processes for which you can use these.

An Opportunity can be converted into a Work Order. But the OOB Field Service content on Quote entity is only intended to sell Agreements. If you want convert a quote or sales order into a Work Order you need to implement some customizations.

They are indeed the same Leads, Oppty, Quote, Order that is used in Sales - BUT the forms and the processes are vastly different.  There is logic tied behind the Oppty, Quote and Order in the FS app to ensure you capture what's required for FS.
