Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble understanding a certain behavior in the HR module of Dynamics F&O, and I can't seem to find any documentation on this.

When we create a new worker with a future employment start, the "employment" tab is not available while the employee is Pending, and we cannot edit the fields in the section, like the probation period of the calendar.
Currently, we go in Employment History, edit the date to today, then fill the fields required. When done, we re-edit the dates to the real employment start date.

I'd like to understand why we can't edit the employment fields before the employee actually starts? We try to fill out all the profiles in advance, but its like the system won't let you by design. Anyone has an explanation or another workaround?

Thanks a lot for any hint or suggestions!

    Hi,

    Thanks for responding.

What version are you using in PROD? I can try in my another environment and let you know.

    Hi Parag,

    Thanks for taking the time!
I my organization hasn't published the streamlined employee entry feature in PROD yet. I tested what you mention in another environment and it absolutely works, so thanks for that.
I'm guessing you don't have any insight on the previous layout by any chance? I don't know when I'll get the updated version.

    Hi there,

You can edit the details for the pending worker. Go to workers, select the worker(Pending), go to Work history tab, and select Summary section.

I just tried in my environment and it works.

    I hope it helps.
