Error creating new Contact from New Case

My company's support team is having an issue when attempting to create a new Contact from the Contact lookup field while creating a new Case. When they try to create the new Contact they get an error saying "Sorry. Something went wrong. Please try again, or restart the app. Error code: 0x0". After they get this error all the fields are locked on all entities (Cases, Accounts, and Contacts). They have to close out of Dynamics 365 tabs and reopen them in order to continue working but the new Contact they tried to create does not get created.
