If so, how do I light it up?
If not, is it on the roadmap? What's the timing?
Correct, UCI still needs CRM user license.
Portal is for different user base & achieves a totally different purpose by utilizing Contact entity without licensing model.
Thanks for getting back to me. If I understand correctly, the Unified Client doesn't solve for the primary use-case that the Portal product does: namely, to provide access to Dynamics data without a full client license for each user. This is useful for publicly-facing implementations like membership management systems. Am I correct in my assumption that Unified Client still requires Dynamics licenses for each user of the system?
I'm finding the Portal product to be quite frustrating -> the only thing that's really useable at the Liquid level is the Entity List, and the product only really renders HTML limiting our ability to customize the experience. Quite disappointing so far :(.
Custom Control Framework (CCF) is for Unified Client Interface (UCI) which is envisioned for CRM responsive experience for users irrespective of client or device.
Portal is built on bootstrap which is responsive already. So the question of CCF support for Portal may be unanswerable now.
Not sure about future.
