Accessing fields for a child window using VBA

Posted on by 200

Hi

I am using VBA with the Financial->Transaction->Transaction  Entry window.

Through VBA i am trying to write a code when a user change the Account Number, is to retrieve the Rate Type ID from Exchange Rate Entry Window to do some validation between the an account segment & Rate Type ID

is there any way to retrieve the Rate Type ID without opening the Exchange Rate Entry Window?

many thanks!

You can modify the report victimisation Modifier. There would be a hidden field known as Rate sort ID within the GL dealing Entry window. you'll be able to briefly create this field visible and add it to the window layout.

Then launch Dr. and add the changed window to Dr. and therefore the Rate sort ID field (which we've created visible) to VBA.
