Hi

I followed link http://d365tour.com/en/microsoft-dynamics-d365o/finance-d365fo-en/financial-dimensions-activation/ try to activate my local VM's Financial Dimension. However, The local VM does not like LCS,

My questions are 1. Could use this link to local VM?

                                       2. If this one works, how could I find my local's sqluser and sqlpwd?

    Hi,

You can activate the maintenance mode by updating the SQLSYSTEMVARIABLES table in local VM.

    1. Start sql "Run as administrator"

    2. Update below query

    update SQLSYSTEMVARIABLES

    set SQLSYSTEMVARIABLES.VALUE = 1

    where PARM = 'CONFIGURATIONMODE'

    3. restart IIS.

After activating the financial dimension, you need go turn of the maintenance mode by updating the SQL table with 0.

I have tried this & worked well for me.

    Regrds,

    Saju K.

    Good Morning JustZM,

Good to see that you have resolved this issue.

I would be interested what this new financial dimension 'AccountingUnit' represents.

Can you share some details what this findim is intended to do?

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi JustZM,

you can use link below to get more information.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../maintenance-mode

As you mentioned that you don't have credentials.. here are the credentials that are used in VM's that we download from LCS. so you can try below. If you are not using VM from LCS, you need to reach out to internal team and request SQL server credentials.

    USERNAME:  AOSUSER

    PASSWORD:  AOSWebSite@123

    Thanks,

    Satish Panwar

    Hi Ludwing Reinhard

I use company USMF (Contoso Entertainment System USA), because its data is much better and this is a default company in axdb. But this one is does not work.

    Hello JustZM,

Don't you have the standard Contoso demo companies available in your local VM?

They should have findims available and active.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
