
Good morning. I am very new to dynamics and we have a specific need to have a customer service case convert to an opportunity.
So a customer calls or emails with a problem. A case is created, researched and it is determined that in order to address the case there will be billable work performed. The case would be converted to an opportunity. Then the opportunity would become a quote and ultimately a project. I tried to use the "Convert Case to Work Order" process as a template but that hasn't worked. Like I said, I am certainly a novice when it comes to dynamics so any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can create a real time workflow which you can configure to run it on demand. Within the workflow, you can create an opportunity and pass the details from this case.
