Entity Email Link

I need to push the opportunity or account entity link outside of MS Dynamics into a notification email automatically using a business process.

They only way I know how to build a CRM link to a specific account is by clicking the "email" link on the entity page. Is there a way to build/generate the email link in a formula that can be automatically emailed?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

you could send an email by Power Automate:

    1. Navigate to https://flow.microsoft.com
    2. Log in with your credentials
    3. Click "Solutions" on the left
    4. Click "New" at the top, give the solution a name and Publisher, and then save it. This will show the solution in the solution list.
    5. Click on the new solution name to open it

    6. You need to click the "New" and then "Flow" option at the top. This will launch a new tab/window within your browser to start building the flow:

7.As a trigger choose the options about Common Data Service connector:

Note: you can also create as trigger one on-demand flow: https://carldesouza.com/how-to-create-trigger-and-run-power-automate-flows-in-dynamics-365-and-power-apps/

    8.  Then choose as action Outlook 365 (remember your user, the owner flow, need one Office 365 license plan to send email)

    9. Inside the email body step you can add the link to the  D365 opportunity record URL

    10. Into the email recipient you could add the email address field as placeholder

    Here a proposed sample template:

    https://emea.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/galleries/public/templates/41ddb497b31747fc8c4d5ae0211d3e6e/send-an-email-when-an-account-is-created-in-dynamics-365/

You could change and optimize this template.

Remember you should consider to take time to learn skill by Power Automate. After one/two days you get the base know how to create compelling notifications flows ;)

Another old solution to solve it was using background workflows, but at the moment Microsoft encourage to leverage to Power Automate (ex MS Flow)

    I hope to be helpful,

    David
