Personalize email with attribute of current email

Posted on by 94
Hi,

I have added a custom column to the Email table to capture Campaign. If I wanted to append the value of the Campaign column for the email I am sending, is there a way to create a personalization tag to insert this value (say as a URL parameter at the end of a link).

E.g. Email > Campaign = Spring24Promo

Create a link with personalization so that I can add {{Campaign}} to a URL in the email where {{Campaign}} is substituted with Spring24Promo?

I see that I can add a Dynamic variable from the email table, but need to specify the individual record to get this from. Was hoping there was a way to reference the current record.

Thanks
Mike

    Not quite the same scenario.

    What I am looking for is more similar to the way that you personalize social media links (from the specified Brand Profile) or the Preference Center link (from the specified Compliance Profile). I want to add another custom email settings field pointing to a table (we're using Package from the Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit) and have access to select an attribute from that table, but have it know to pick the value from the specific Package record I have selected for the current email being edited.

    So below, we added Package field. Let's say I want the URL for the button to be https://www.organization.com/donate?package={{packagename}}

    Where {{Packagename}} comes from the Package record I have selected.

    Right now, when I specific another table like Package, it is expecting me to select a specific record ID. I just want it to know from my selection highlighted below.

    Hi,

    You can locate the campaign where this recipient is located by going to Contact -> Campaign Activity -> Parnet Campaign.
