Hi Everyone,

Good morning.

I am trying to create pick list for raw materials from a bin in storage zone to a bin in the assembly zone for an assembly order. But it says 'Nothing to handle'.

Below are my location configurations:

1. Location Card:

2. Zones

please assist.

Thanks.

nothing to handle could be caused by different reasons, the most common one, as it been pointed out, is insufficient qty of items to pick even though it seems there are enough stock.

a quick to check is use the bin content as below. the white location is a directed location, and the item only has 12 as available even the on hand qty shows more.

There are many reasons why the available qty is less than the on hand qty. To put it simply, BC reserves qty of item in various situations such as hard reservation, items on pick lines but not handled yet etc.

here is more reading on the logic of BC to track and reserve items

Check the inventory level of the components.  If your materials are not available in inventory the system will give the "Nothing to Handle" error, which means you do not have enough inventory to generate the Pick.

Another place to see this is the Pick Worksheet.  You can "Get Documents" and filter to your Assembly Order.  The system will calculate what is available and list each material line in the worksheet.  It will show you what your Qty. Available to Pick is.  If it is zero, you will not be able to create the Pick.

Lastly, in your Warehouse Setup, turn on the Stop and Show Error Messages, which may give you more information.
