Connection with the AOS could not be established on AX 2009

Dear All,

I am trying to open AX 2009, it is giving me the following warning: "Connection with the AOS could not be established"

I went to the services to check, I saw "Dynamics AX Object Server 5.0$01-UpgradeDynamicsAx" is not running, I tried to run it it is giving me Error 1740 : the end point is a duplicate.

I saw some reviews on that issue but I'm still not clear about how to fix it can someone help me ?

Regards,

Hassan Khalil

    Hi hassan khalil,

If you have 2 AOS installed on same server, than you need to change port of one of them, please refer for details community.dynamics.com/.../error-1740-the-endpoint-is-a-duplicate

    Hi ievgen,

I already saw this reference, wasn't much of a help, any way I was able to change the port and run the service but AX 2009 still giving me the AOS error about the connection.

Here is a picture of what I'm dealing with :

Did  AOS port change resolve Error 1740 ? To change client config  you need to create new one (copy from active)  option under manage button.

Yes the AOS port resolved Error 1740, and a new config enabled me to change the port thank you.
