Change calculated field without updating previous data from old formula

Has anyone else ever encountered this? Almost 2 years into using Dynamics the client has determined that the formula used to calculate discounts needs to be changed. Updating the calculated field will update all the previous closed opps/quotes which need to stay with the old formula. Is there a way to have the new calculation only apply to new opps/quotes going forward? Thanks

Hi JKS Dynamics

Use Create On in your condition and write a new formula. For example:

If Created On > 15th June 2022 then the formula is x

Else formula id y.
