Dynamics CRM page error

Hi,

I could not find solution on the forum, apologies if I missed it, I am having trouble accessing CRM since last week. I get the 404 error:

404 - File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Is there any solution to this?

    Hi Janette,

    Thank you for posting this.

    Based on my experience the error you mentioned above can have one of the following causes:

    - somebody deleted the organization or it expired in case it is a trial

    - somebody modified the organization configuration, for example, if your colleagues enabled IFD 

    - somebody changed the network configuration and currently you can not access the organization, over the years I had seen this issue happening due to incorrect proxy settings and not only because of that.

    My recommendation is the following:

    - try to discuss with your colleagues in order to see if the organization can be accessed by any of them and ask him/her to double-check the URL with yours

    - If the organization had not been made accessible to them as well but it exists, try to take a network trace, like for example a Fiddler and understand what is going on

    - if the organization has been hosted on premises, try to discuss with the Dynamics administrator in order to understand if they have changed something on the configuration

    - try to access that organization, if it used to have IFD or if it is online from another network, like your phone's browser on mobile data, or even from home, if the organization is on premises and it did not have IFD enabled, this will not work, as it is only accessible in that particular network.

    As a network trace has endpoints URLs and other confidential details, in case you would like Microsoft Support to be involved in this investigation, please don't hesitate to raise a ticket to us.

    Madalina advice is all encompassing. I would also suggest you ask the admin for a complete url to your crm instance and try with a incognito window.

    Hi Madalina,

    I have the same issue but only for one user after she tries to log in (and only for one of our 3 systems).

    Other users have no problem accessing it.

    We already tried other browsers and deleting the cache. It also happened on another device (and we needed to delete the browser cache to be able to access it again with another user).

    The user in question has been deactivated for some time and then was re-activated if this helps.

    Could you please help me with this?

    Hi again,

    I solved it by changing the user name (with an old unused but allowed domain).

    Then I created a new user for her with the user name she previously used.

    After that I just cleared the browser cache and she was able to log in.
