Electronic reporting vs SSRS

Hello everyone,
 
Is it always to use ER rather than SSRS going forward in the D365FO reporting?
Any drawbacks using ER?

    Definitely not always ER, it basically depends on what you want to do. There are many roads that lead to Rome.

    There is a topic on that here:
     
     
    It really depends what you want. ER can do so much more. e-Invoicing is usually done via ER, saving documents (invoices, f.e.) to a specific folder or sharepoint.
     
    Regarding the drawbacks, hard to say. Usually its done by developers, but it can be done by functional consultants as well, you may need some help, depending how complex your requirement is. 
     
    Out of the gut, I would say go for ER. Microsoft has developed quite some functionalities in this area, as it was requested and necessary for business processes.

    Agree with Adis & Anton, generally ER e-invoicing and electronic messaging, SSRS reporting, but not exclusively, there is also crossover depending on the scenario.
