Unable to connect oracle odbc on data import export framework

Try to connect Oracle ODBC via Source data formats to import Oracle based legacy application.,  throws the following error after clicking the validate button as

"Test connection failed-ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified."

steps : installed l ODTwithODAC121021 client version on the AOS . created 32bit-odbc connection and tested. works fine

1) installed l ODTwithODAC121021 client version on the AOS . created 32bit-odbc connection and tested. works fine on the server. 

2) restarted AOS

3) run AX 2012 R2 as administrator and select "Source data formats" under DAT/Data import export framework/Area page

4) try to validate the connection

"Test connection failed-ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified."

    Are you trying to connect from a client machine or an AX client on the AOS?

    thanks for your reply.I am running AX client on the AOS and Oracle driver has been installed on the AOS.

    What type of DSN did you create? Have you tried it with a 'User DSN'?

    yes i did, but the user dsn that i created on the aos machine is not showing in the list

    Hi Oz,

    I am facing the exact same problem. Although, I created a 64 bit ODBC  (and not 32 bit ) connection on AOS server and tested it successfully. But validation from AX fails.

    "Test connection failed-ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified."

    Please let know if you found any solution for this problem.
