Multiple Dynamics 365 Portals on same CRM Instance

Hi,

I'm looking to have both a Customer Portal and Partner Portal using the same Dynamics 365 CRM instance.

Is this possible, as the portal application overview states.

"Portal is an Add-On subscription for CRM Online that allows you to extend the engagement with Customer and Employee audiences into an Azure-hosted web portal. This Add-On requires a pre-existing CRM Online subscription and may only be associated with one instance per Portal. Each portal includes 1,000,000 page views per month."

Thanks

Martin

    Hi Martin

Yes you can add two different portals, it will create two website records and two web site binding  records with two different Domains, :)

    Thanks and Regards

Has there been a defintive answer to this?

As far as I am aware you have one portal per subcrisption.

The portal can point to only one instance. You can however change the instance the portal points too. e.g. production or sandbox.

Can anyone varify if you can infact have mulitple CRM Portals for an instance?

we would like to have a portal for each instance in our Dynamics 365 subcritption.

    E.g.

Production D365 with CRM Production Portal

Sandbox D365 with CRM Developemnt Portal

Is this possible? is there a way to purchase another Portal Add on?

if it is how do you do this?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

You can have multiple portals associated with the same Dynamics 365 (CRM) instance.

Out of the box a D365 subscription comes with 1 portal licence that you can configure and choose which portal type you would like, eg. Partner Portal, Customer Self Service Portal, Community Portal.

To have a second portal you need to buy a second portal licence through the Admin Centre. Once you have a second licence, you can go to the D365 admin center, with the same process as configuring the first portal.

2 portal support is for sure.

Your if your subscription has only one portal you need to buy one. Refer below thread.

Dynamics 365 Plan 1, which is the enterprise plan for Dynamics 365, comes with one portal instance included in the plan.

You need to purchase additional portal licenses to host multiple websites. With multiple portal instances available, you are now able to tie one portal website to one portal instance and thereby support multiple portals through a single Dynamics 365 instance.
