Custom F&O data entities not visible in Power Apps

Hi,

In Power Apps, I can see all the standard F&O data entities and I can view the data of those data entities. However, I don't see any of the custom data entities. They are public etc etc. and they are available via /fno-url/data/

How do I get the custom data entities in Power Apps?

    Hi FO User,

There is an option to go to make.powerautomate.com. Then in the left menu choose tables. In the body, choose to see all tables and search for Available Finance and Operations Entity columns and data. You can open this table and select the option to view all rows. Loading of the records can take a minute or 2. Once the list is loaded, you can try to find your new created entities and toggle the Visible column.

    Hi,

I have the admin role and I can see all the standard F&O data entities and data in Power Apps. Yes, the custom data entities all return data via /fno-url/data/<name entity>. We are using Dataverse with virtual tables (the F&O linked Power Platform environment). This is exactly the issue: I want to enable the custom data entities as virtual tables but I can't see how to do that anywhere. I've looked all over and searched the internet but no luck.

    Hi FO User,

If a data entity is set to Public as you already did, then there is no additional step required in the application for OData. Public = OData. You already confirmed that they are visible via the /data/ URL.

In case you try to query the data, using the public entity name, do you get records in return? ( /fno-url/data/entityname)
Do you have permissions as system administrator in Dynamics 365 or do you have other security roles? In case you don't have the system administrator role, the data entities needs to be added to your assigned security role via a new duty or duty extension with one of the privileges created during the data entity wizard creation.

What connector type are you using in Power Apps? The Fin&Ops Apps connector or Dataverse with virtual tables? In case you are using Dataverse, ensure the new entities are enabled as virtual table.

In case you are using the Fin&Ops Apps connector, are you doing this on the same environment? In case this is a development environment, did you perform a full build of the model and a full database synchronization?

    Hi,

Even though you mentioned that your custom data entities are public, ensure that they are correctly marked as "OData" accessible. Here’s how you can verify:

    1. Go to Data Management in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) and Entity Settings: Check the entity settings to ensure it is marked as OData enabled. This is what makes the entity available via /data/ endpoints

    Thanks
    Ramesh
