Multiple forms in Interactive Experience (V9)?

Posted on by 560

Hi, can we have multiple main forms for one entity in the Customer Service-hub?

In the regular web client you can select the form you like once available, but I don't see that option in the Interactive Experience.

My scenario: when managing a case of type Problem, the data needed to maintain is very different from the data when the case is of type Request or so.
So I want to offer the users two seperate form types.
Or are there better ways to accomplish this?

Kind regards,
Maurits

Hello @BusyIntelligence, sorry for the very much delayed reply!

When you create a new app, you have the option to base it on another one, that would clone the original app :-)

    Hi Andres,

How do I open a table?  Is it Ctrl+D?  I'm a functional person. Thanks

Wow, thanks Michel. It's really that easy, never knew that.

I've changed the hub and it works as you wrote indeed.

    Thanks a lot!

Silly question perhaps, but how to clone an app?

    Hey Maurits,

    This is absolutely possible.

This thing with 'apps' in Dynamics 365 is that they only show the Forms, Views, Dashboards and Graphs that are explicitly included, all the rest is hidden.

    ----

To add extra Forms (or Views or Dashboards or Graphs):

    1. Go to 'My Apps' and edit the Customer Service Hub app to open the App Designer
(Or clone it into an app of your own, which might give you even better customization flexibility)
    2. Scroll to the entity you care about (in this scenario 'Case') and click on the 'Forms' element
    3. On the right side of the App Designer, you now see all the Forms you have, select the one you need
    4. Click 'Save'
    5. Click 'Publish'

    6. Go into your Customer Service Hub app and now you'll see the extra form.

    Hope this answers your question!
