Hi, is there an alternative way to update the plugin dlls with respect to plugin registration tool?

I use the the following developer toolkit for developing plugins or custom workflow activities or even web resources and deploy them directly from Visual Studio
marketplace.visualstudio.com/items
There are few other open source tools but I would definitely recommend the above.
If you do not have Visual Studio, you can use the free community edition, please see the link below to see where and how you could download

I use Visual Studio 2015 and use the following developer toolkit to develop and deploy plugin
marketplace.visualstudio.com/items
And there are few other open source tools as well but i would recommend the above toolkit as it allows us to do the development work in VS and to deploy directly from VS.
