Hi,

While importing fixed assets journals example aquisition; using Data Management the number sequences of the jounrals are not increasing, is there a way to auto increase the next value in the number sequence to avoid reseting the values manually.

    Hi Ludwig,

If I manually create the fixed asset, everything works fine.

Kindly find below the Excel upload

    Hi Hossam,

If you manually create a fixed asset journal do you experience the same issue with the voucher numbers?

Can you share a screenprint how of your Excel upload sheet?

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi André,

Thanks, yes the lines are in balance and I do also provide an offset account.

I really liked the temporary voucher functionality.

Is there a way to to increase the voucher number sequence without using the temporary voucher functionality. As I am in the middle of other things and I would require approvals before implementing the temporary voucher functionality.

    Hi Hossam,

I do assume you are referring to the voucher numbers. When you import the acquisitions, are the lines in balance? Do you also provide an offset account?

Note that you can also use temporary numbers allocated in the source file. Then during posting the voucher numbers will be replaced with the values from the number sequence. You can read about this in my blog post: What is the temporary voucher functionality in Dynamics 365? (dynamicspedia.com)
