For starters, Outlook can be configured to synchronize Emails, Appointments, Contacts and Tasks with Dynamics CRM under your credentials. There are different ways to achieve this and is a vast topic to cover. On a high level, you can choose what items should be tracked to Dynamics CRM from your Outlook and different scenarios when this should happen.
