Disposal parameters/Post value Acquisition (prior years) does not exist

Hello,

I am receiving an error message when trying to Disposal-Sale of an asset in the Fixed Asset Journal Module - Disposal parameters/Post value Acquisition (prior years) does not exist.

We checked the posting profiles parameters and everything seems to be correct. Each Fixed Asset Group has an offset account and main account. I researched similar questions, but did not find anything regarding "Post Value Acquisition".

Can someone please help?

Hi CCYve3!! It looks like you are missing a posting type! Please try the following steps and let me know if this resolves your issue!!

You will need to add this posting type to the Fixed Asset Posting Type setup under:

Fixed assets > Setup > Fixed asset posting profiles

Within this screen under disposal, select new and add a line by your desired grouping and select “Acquisition (prior years) “ under Post value. Then define the main account as needed.

This should resolve your issue

We have the disposals selected for the posting profile along with the offset accounts, however, we are still receiving the same error message.

It looks like you dont have the post value “acquisition (prior years)” setup as suggested above. You may need to add this additional post value.

Adding this out there.

Prior to 10.0.29, the system was skipping the post values to GL with the post value was not mapped. it has been corrected in 10.0.29, which is why the error message came suddenly.
