Hi all, has anything changed on the issue that you can select a competitor for a loss but you cannot for a win on the win/loss form? If you list all the competitors on the opportunity, if it is won how does the system know which competitor was for the win? The competitor win loss report calculates the competitor for the win somehow? If you do not put anything on the opportunity form for competitor does the system not capture anything at all for the win? Seems very confusing and I cannot find much information about this. Anyone's insight would be welcome!
Hi, According to the official documentation when you close a sales opportunity as "Lost" you can select the competitor you lost that sales opportunity to. However, when you close an opportunity as "Won" you are not able to directly select the competitor you won. Please refer to the official documentation in the link below for details. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales/close-opportunity-won-lost-sales If you list all competitors for an opportunity, the system does not automatically determine which competitor won. The Competitor Loss Report will calculate the winning competitor based on the competitors listed on the lost opportunity. If you do not enter any competitor information on the opportunity form, the system will not capture any winning information. It is recommended that you manually note down the winning competitors for your records and analysis. I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. Best Regards, Rudy Zhang
