Hi friends, i have a requirement where i have sales order with item x which has 0 qty on hand but has substitute item y so i use the substitute action changing the order To item y but when invoicing i want To get item x not y is that possible ?

Any idea would be much appreciated

Can you explain why you're changing from x to y and then back to x? That seems a little strange.

Hi

it’s not possible in Business central

but how ever if you want to achieve you can undo the the shipment of item Y first and add item X to the same order and do the ship and invoice

and you can cancel or delete the previous line for item Y

don't think it is possible, BC will use the substitute item info instead.

As far as I know it is not possible in the standard.

If customized, you can add a field, such as Print Item No., and then expand the report to print out the value of this field.

Hope this can give you some hints.
