Dear Dynamics community,
I have a situation where we have a prospect that has 150 retail stores (all with leases) and they want functionality that will both keep track of the leases (beginning dates end dates etc) and provide payments for each lease on a monthly basis.
I do not believe D365 has enough functionality for this.
Wondering if anyone has had this issue before and if so what their solution was...
Thanks very much,
Hi Michael,
Yes, previously there was no functionality so we had to use a third-party tool.
But now we have the "Asset Leasing" module in Dynamics 365 Finance & Opearation.
Please check the following document, it might help you.
MS Docs: docs.microsoft.com/.../asset-leasing-homepage
Tech Talk: community.dynamics.com/.../techtalk-dynamics-365-finance-asset-leasing-october-27-2020

Let us know if it helps,
Thanks,
I am not sure if you also want to lease out specific assets.
If so, I would recommend having a look at the following add-on:
appsource.microsoft.com/.../crowe_horwath.crowe-lease-management
In case you only lease assets from other parties / vendors, the standard D365FO lease module might be a good thing to get started with.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi
I looked into the Asset leasing functionality not long ago and I have attached my findings. I agree with the other Community members that I think the Asset leasing module can support you need for handling the leases in the stores.

Thank you all for your responses.
The company is a clothing retailer that has 150 stores. They want functionality that will allow them to account for (pay) and track each respective lease they have entered into in their various store locations. They are not providing leases to other parties they are entering into leases.
Having said that I am trying to get a sense if the D365 asset leasing functionality is the direction to pursue vs Crown Lease Management which appears to be a third party add on.
If you don't lease to other parties then the standard D365FO asset leasing functionality should be sufficient.
Thank you!!
