Hi experts,

Can you please help in exploring the best practice and approach to push data using Data entity to Data lake?

Or What is the best practice to push any kind of data from D365 to Azure data lake?

Any help would be appreciated !!!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Saurabh,

You can read the documentation to get your answer:

    Hi Saurabh,

As far as I know, entity export to Data lake is on private preview (limited set of customers) at the moment and will be available for public preview in Spring 2020. At the moment you can export entity store to a data lake.

If you want to export entities - you still need to use an old BYOD way.

What kind of best practices do you mean? There are limited options you can choose in D365. I would say you need to decide what to export and how ofter (in case of trickle feeds you will near-real-time experience in my knowledge).

    Hi Sergey,

    Thanks for your response.

When i say Best practice, i would like to know what are the options available to choose ( As you mentioned limited option) ? And which is the best one?

My requirement is push transaction data from D365 e.g. Ledger transactions, Customer related tables transactions, Vendor related tables transactions etc. to Data lake.

    Hi Saurabh,

You can also check the session from MyIgnite related to DL integration (myignite.techcommunity.microsoft.com/.../84106

According to the session, DL integration (entity store only) will be available GA in spring 2020. Entities and tables probably will be later this year. I would say there are no certain best practices right now, you can check how auto-refresh option works or you can enable "trickle feeds" and test it. In my opinion "trickle feeds" will be the only option in the future to use.
