What is PurchIdAdvance means in form PurchTable

Hi,
 
In form PurchTable (Purchase Order form), I found the Purchase Order Number field in the grid is stated as PurchIdAdvance ->
 
While looking at its property, for the data field it self is still PurchId from PurchTable ->
 
May I know what is this means ?
 
My intention is too find out how is this PurchId length become 40 when I checked in SQL.
My understanding is PurchId in table is based of its Extended data type which is in this case is PurchIdBase with string length is 20. Also appeared in PurchTable field PurchId property :

    Can you check if you have any extension of the EDT "Num", maybe you have an extension to the EDT that increase the string size to 40. also, this effect will not appear on the purchId properties on the PurchTable (standard), check if you have an extension to PurchTable you will see this change on the string size appear.

    Hi Ken,
     
    On the screenshot you pasted, there is a help text available on the control you can check the use of the field there.
    For string size check whether you have any extensions created.
