Hey,

I'm looking for an entity where I can find the status of the item, such as: created/confirmed/released/etc.

Just try with Product lifecycle states (EcoResProductLifecycleStateEntity), by looking at entity mapping you can get released status and there is Status ID too.
Maybe by extending /Modifying you will able to achieve your goal.
