Put-away received items w/o pallet transport

Dear AX adepts

Using AX2009. All instructions on receiving process call for pallet transport, that allows to move said received items to storage/picking location from the dock.

How can I, without the aforementioned pallet transport, still receive via arrival overview in to inbound dock, but then move it onward to bulk (or picking) locations?

I understand that I could first fully receive into inbound dock and then use transfer journal, but this is inefficient, as I believe you must specify new to (and probably also from) "location" dimension for every single line, I think there is no way to apply it to the "Header" and pass it down...

We have no pallet transport enabled or pallet settings in general, so it seems, as we were told this won't be required (which PHYSICALLY is mostly correct - we mainly store on shelf/rack - goods are sometimes delivered on pallets but often just as loose boxes).

    Hi Rafal,

The Mode of handling tick boxes on the Item arrival journal line control whether Pallet transports are created.

From memory, check bulk / pick determines whether the items will be left in goods-in when the journal is posted, or whether they will be put-away.

'Pallet transports' tick box determines if the put-away will happen instantly when the journal is posted, or whether pallet transports will be created for later put-away. If the latter, the items will be at goods-in with the status 'Arrived', until the pallet transport is processed.

For your question; how to manually move things from goods-in, if you are using the Pallet dimension, you could use a Pallet transport. If you are not, there are no great solutions, I think. Transfer journals is one. Having the Arrival journal automatically do the put-away when you post it is another.
