GER - Electronic reporting configuration for an excel file with multiple records

I have a requirement to use GER for building a custom configuration/report in excel. I have managed to create a report that has a single row of data, however i need to pull through multiple service order header / lines into one spreadsheet.

The MS guidance only shows examples for single records (URL Below). Is anyone familiar with the method for defining a configuration/excel template(with appropriate ranges specified) to include multiple records/rows?

    Hello Claudia,

I believe your question is more related to development and it might be better opening a new thread with the corresponding development tag to get a good and fast response.

    Many thanks and best regards,

Hello, I take the opportunity to ask if someone has made reports in GER with the use of classes with sending parameters?

    Hi Pete,

Can you share details how you resolved the issue?

I believe other community members will also benefit from that and it would be great if you could share details of your solution.

Is anyone else able to confirm how to achieve multiple record excel reports using GER?

    Hello Pete,

I am not sure if GER is the right tool for that.

    Here (docs.microsoft.com/.../general-electronic-reporting) is says...

ER is a tool that you can use to configure formats for both incoming and outgoing electronic documents in accordance with the legal requirements of various countries/regions.

I think you should go ahead using SSRS Reports that you can Export to Excel.

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwid,

Thanks for your suggestion. We already use PowerBI for most of our reporting. As per my question, I have a requirement to use GER to achieve this for another business process.

This is not a legally required report.

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hi Pete,

Is that actually a legally required report for example by a government organization or do you try to use GER for reporting purposes?

Have you tried looking at the available power bi Reports for D365FO whether you can get that information from there?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

RE: D365FO - GER - Electronic reporting configuration for an excel file with multiple records

    Hi Ludwig,

I'm trying to create an excel report with multiple Service order header records listed vertically. I am to expand this to service order lines and other system entities once I understand how to return multiple records.

    Example:

ServOrdID   |   Customer            |  Created Dt             |   Sign off date

    12345              Cust1                      01/01/2018                15/01/2018

    12346              Cust2                      02/01/2018                 16/01/2018

    12347              Cust3                      03/01/2018                 17/01/2018
