Data import on BU level

Hi,

How can we import data according to the Business unit.

Let's say, We have uploaded 10 Accounts in CRM. Now I want is first 5 should visible to only BU1 and the last 5 should be visible to BU 2. Is there any way to achieve this?

Yes, I assume you have security roles that specifies 'Business unit' level read access on the entity.

Example :

Lets call your business units as BU1 and BU2. BU1 has 50 users. BU2 has 50 users.

BU1 and BU2 will have default teams.Let's say you are importing data to Account entity.

Create a security role and specify 'Business unit level' read permissions on the Account entity.

Assign this security role to the default teams of BU1 and BU2.

Import your data. Assign 5 records to the default team of BU1 and the remaining 5 records to the default team of BU2.
