Schema for NAV

I was just hired a report developer for NAV and know little about it. Is there a schema out there, or a mapping of form fields to database tables and FAILED? Some apps I have reported against, even have a short cut key or allow you to hover over a field in the app and it gives you info 9n table and column. I played a little with the form designer, it has some info... but didn't see a table and therefore could not confirm my findings.

One source of information is here: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh893827(v=nav.90).aspx , you can refer to those tables that are available in the system (however it would not give you directly the idea how tables are linked with each other).

Is there a place to refer : Direct answer is no.
