The state of Connecticut effective 01/01/2021 is requiring a new deduction. It will be 0.5% of the employee's wages. There will be no employer portion of this deduction. Will there be any addition to the tax tables about to be released for this deduction? What about reporting for tax filing? This new deduction is called CT Paid Family Medical Leave act.

Hi Richard this would be considered a local tax, nothing specific to the state and federal taxes that are included in our tax updates.  This is something you will need to set up yourself in the system or if you have Greenshades for local taxes, you can check with them to see if it is a tax they provide.

Let me know if you have further questions, thanks
