Unable to change width of text displayed in drop down

I have a dropdown on a lead form that I cannot see the entire length of the text.  I expanded it to two columns.  The field expands however the text in the dropdown stays the same width.  See before and after bellow.  Any thoughts?

I also get this error at the top ofther form which may have some relation to the reason why I can't

    Hi,

That message that you see at the top is a warning that says you can't use more than 4 fields on the header part or a field which is multi line type, or even if you have a web resource there.

But this message is showing when you set the field to have 2 columns in the Header. It isn't the best customization for it.

The field is showing like that because it is the space available on the header. If it is really important for you to have it shown with the correct space, maybe consider changing it to the body of the form instead of the header.
