Hi there! Good morning, evening, or afternoon - depending on where you are :) Hope you are well today!

Based on the details you provided, including the 404 error, here are some potential causes and solutions:
    Possible Causes
    1. Attachment URL Expiry: Dynamics 365 uses temporary URLs for attachments, and these may expire after a certain period. If the embedded image relies on such a URL, it could result in a 404 error.
    2. Permission Issues: The user accessing the email might not have sufficient permissions to view the attachment.
    3. Server-Side Sync or Email Router Configuration: Misconfigurations in the synchronization setup could prevent embedded images from being handled correctly.
    4. Recent Updates or Changes: If Dynamics 365 was updated recently, it might have introduced changes affecting how embedded images are displayed.
    Recommended Solutions
    1. Check Attachment Settings: Verify that the attachment is still accessible in Dynamics 365. Navigate to the email activity and ensure the image file is listed under attachments.
    2. Review Permissions: Confirm that the user has the necessary permissions to view attachments in Dynamics 365.
    3. Reconfigure Server-Side Sync: If you're using Server-Side Synchronization, ensure it’s correctly set up to handle embedded images.
    4. Test in Different Browsers: Sometimes, browser settings or cache can interfere with image display. Clear the cache or test in another browser.
    hope this helps!

Thank you for your detailed answer.
It's not due to the permissions, because as admin i don't see any pictures either.
Bur it could actually be related to the fact that we switched our mailboxes to exchange online a few weeks ago (server-side sync).
Could this be the reason or do you have to adjust something in exchange online?
