Add a purchase requisition line to an existing purchase order

Hi,

I am using AX 2012 and would like to inquire whether it is possible to manually add an approved purchase requisition line to an existing purchase order.

There is the option to manually convert a purchase requisition line to a new purchase order (from the "Release approved purchase requisitions" listpage) however I have not come across the functionality to add the purchase requisition line to an existing purchase order.

Has anyone ever managed the above scenario please?

Thanks in advance,

Alexia

    Hi Alexia,

I have also not seen a support for this. However you can add a line on a PO manually.

Thanks Andre - however we can only add a line on a PO manually without linking it to the original purchase requisition line - correct?

    Hi Alexia,

You are correct. With a manual addition, there is no link to the original PR.

    HI Andre,

Can you kindly guide how we can add an approved PR line to a PO manually without using  "Release approved purchase requisitions" listpage

    Hi Sagar,

Go to the PO, select the lines and click new...

    Probably you were thinking different?

    HI Andre,

Thanks for the reply. I mean i have four approved PR lines in   "Release approved purchase requisitions" listpage. I can create a new PO from the list page.

But what i am asking is how to manually add any one of these four approved PR lines to a existing PO?

I dont want to create a new PO.

Also by using  "Release approved purchase requisitions" listpage to create a new PO the link is established between PO and the PR.

    Thanks in advance,

As said above: There is no support for doing this. If you create a PO line manually, there is no link to a PR. It can be solved with a customization (or feedback to Microsoft http://connect.microsoft.com).

Add the PO Manually, you will find a field called purchase requisition and select the purchase requisition it will be linked.

I am an admin and testing this functionality, we have requisition workflows enabled (along with PO line workflows). We regularly have this requirement when goods are received and freight is added to the invoice.

I have created a requisition, it has been approved. With a screen change we have included a 'preferred order' so we know which PO we would like to add it to. If I go to the line details area, the PR field is grayed out. I can't see how this can be linked like Sayed suggested, I will defer to Andre and assume this can only be done with a customisation.

Is there any way this new line (which has been approved as a requisition) can avoid triggering the PO approval workflow?

    thahnks
