security role for editing live emails?

Hi,

We are in the process of designing a solution. I'm currently creating custom security roles for the different user groups. We found out though that the role for marketing staff doesn't allow them to edit live emails (specifically the confirmation email attached to a live test event). The admin role does allow for this, so does the oob marketing role, but I can't find out which setting controls this?

Thank you!

Thanks for the update Annemieke.  I am glad to hear that you were able to get this working and no longer experience issues.

Can you confirm if the information provided help resolve your issue?  If so, can you mark the information provided as the Answer to your post.

    Hello Annemieke,

In your custom security role, what do you have set for the Activity Privilege under Core Records tab:

If this is already assigned to your custom security role as shown above, can you provide more details as to whether you are seeing missing functionality such as Edit or if you are recieving an error message.

    Thanks,

    Hi Annemieke,

What the behavior that marketing staff with custom security roles are not allowed to edit live emails?

Is the Edit not visible for them? Or will they receive an error message dialog after clicking the Edit button?

If its the second situation, it would be helpful if you could share a screenshot of the error.

    Regards,

    Clofly
