Adding static text to a form

Hi all

We're needing to insert permanent static text that gives the user an instruction on how to complete the form. What field type would you suggest and how do we implement this?

The static text is around 1,500 characters. Here is an example of where the text will be displayed.

    Hi,

You can insert an HTML web resource that includes your instructions.

    Please follow this example:

    carldesouza.com/.../

You don't need to be an html expert. An editor is at your disposal to generate your web ressource.

    Hello,

You can have html web resource embedded in the form as it is mentioned by @Mehdi El Amri

Also, if you have record based static text requirements then you you can use PCR control in your form. here are some screenshots for your reference.

You can add the PCR control "Rich Text Editor Control" for the multiline text field.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Adnan

    Thanks Adnan

What field type would you insert as a starting point and then apply your suggested PCR control approach? Multi-line?

    Yes, Multiline text field

    Thanks Adnan

If I understand correctly, this would enable a user to insert static text on the form, but won't provide the tool for us to insert permanent text that the form must display all the time.

Exactly, The control allows user to enter & format the text.

But you can have some mechanism (JS, Plugin, Workflow) which pre-populates the field based on business process scenario and lock the field.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Adnan

    Thanks so much again Adnan

The solution proposed by @Mehdi El Amri has done the trick for our needs.
