RFQ with vendors not maintained in vendor master list

Hi experts,
 
I want to record RFQ results/ replies when performing sourcing. Each time of sourcing, I will work with 3 to 5 vendors. In the worst case, I have to create 5 new vendors each time to create and send RFQ in the system, and one of them is chosen to sign a contract. Time goes by, the number of vendor records in the system may increase, in which not all of them is "active" for making transaction. 
 
Can I create and send RFQ without creating new vendor record? And i only create the record when the RFQ is approved?

    Hi,
     
    As far as I know the One-Time Vendor functionality works only for POs. There was a similar discussion to it in 2023. 
     
    You can check\test if MS implemented the functionality with updates or wait for upcoming functionality, if they implement it, I dont know. 
    Would be worth creating an idea here: Ideas.
     
    Customization is the way to go then in my opinion. However, I would make a parameter, in case we get this functionality  that you can use the standard.
