RE: Create Prospect - type Customer

    Hi

Sales and marketing > Setup > Prospects > Relation types

Create new type (don't make the name customer, make it AA) and don't choose customer in relation type, Just let it as it is.

Then go to create new prospect , Choose the relation type which has been created.

    complete the prospect information.

    then convert it .

later we need to provide customer group for conversion.

In the prospect > Miscellaneous details fasttab, could you please fill in the customer group and check whether 'Convert to customer' is enabled.

RE: Create Prospect - type Customer

    Hi,

box is already checked. But that box is to open either a customer or vendor form on converting a prospect.

But my question was how to ungray the convert to customer option in general tab. Is there any other parameter that needs to be setup?

    Thanks,

    lakshmi

RE: Create Prospect - type Customer

    Hi Lakshmi

This is a standard ax behaviour. You have first create a prospect and convert the prospect to a customer. To create a prospect of type prospect, you must have a relation type (Sales & marketing | Setup | Prospects | Relation type) where the table source is relation table). Once a prospect is created, you can covert the prospect to customer using the convert option in the General tab
