You can't move anything out from the SYP layer.

You can copy the method to CUS layer. Just login to CUS layer, open the method that you want to copy, and make some changes. Then save the method, remove your changes and save again. Now you have an identical copy. But why would you need that?

    Hi Nikolaos,

    Thanks for your suggestion.

Actually there are few tables, forms and menu items available in SYP layer currently.

Now one of my client wants to copy them to CUS layer and I don't have any idea to do this

will this cause any problem or it is just not possible ?

So do they want to copy them to new separate tables, forms and menu items?

In that case you can just right click any element in AOT and select Duplicate. The copy will be created to the layer where you currently are logged in.

    So you have two possibilities:

    1) Make a copy on top of the standard object (like instructed in my first message). There is negative business value for this, since you don't get any value out of it, but it will cause more work for you when you apply Microsoft updates.

    2) Duplicate the standard object as a new object, and make adjustments there like you wish.

Could you describe your business requirement, because right now I don't really understand what is the goal here. Surely their real goal is something else than moving or copying things to different layers.

Please find my client's requirement as below:

Yes, we said to create new ones but that meant extracting the existing SYP tables and putting it into our CUS layer (without modification!). That way with an upgrade we don’t have to migrate the data but the tables/EDT’s will already be there.

We analyzed and the following needs to be done:

AZ_GSTIN_Master_BV_IN replace table and EDT with BusinessVerticalsTable_IN

AZ_SACMaster_IN replace table and EDT with ServiceAccountingCodeTable_IN

AZ_HSNMaster_IN replace table and EDT with HSNCodeTable_IN

    AZ_GSTIN_Master_BV_IN replace form with BusinessVerticalsTable_IN

    AZ_HSNMaster_IN replace form with HSNCodeTable_IN

    AZ_SACCodeMaster_IN replace form with ServiceAccountingCodeTable_IN

AZ_BusinessVerticalGST_IN replace menu item with BusinessVerticalsTable_IN

AZ_HSNmaster_IN replace menu item with HSNCodeTable_IN

AZ_SACmaster_IN replace menu item with ServiceAccountingCodeTable_IN

Fix all references in other objects you customized e.g. Forms, Main menu etc.

Remove all replaced objects EDTs, Tables, Forms etc.

To me this doesn't feel to make much sense from technical or business point of view in the long run. But since I don't know the case in more detail, and I'm not responsible for any decisions that you make there, I won't comment more.
