Hello Experts,

I am very new to Dynamics 365 F & O platform and appreciate your help on my following queries.

What are the tools / components required for report customization / new report creation in Dynamics 365 F & O whether application is deployed in on premises or SL (SaaS)?

What is the user license requirement for report customization / new report creation in D 365 F & O?

Is it required any additional table / object license for new report creation in D 365 F & O ?

How the custom report updating to Production Server in case of SaaS model?

Appreciate your kind support and valuable guidelines.

Hi Ranjth,

To do developments on Dynamics 365, also for reports, you need to use Visual Studio. Some financial reports are based on configuration.

For customizations, you don't need a specific user license. You need a Visual Studio license. For adding new objects, you don't need any specific license either.

For moving customizations to a production environment, you can create a deployable package which first needs to be validated on a staging environment before you can install it on a production environment via LCS.
