Form field groups aligment

Hi,

I created an extension of a form, and added this tab (Pattern: Fields and field groups) -- then added 3 data groups.

How can i make the fields for each group appear in the same column? Do i need to change the tab pattern to /custom/ and change those properties: /column mode/ to fixed and /columns/ to 3 ? but isn't using /custom/ considered a bad practice?

last field group is already appearing correctly. However, the first two are not.

When i made it custom, it looked like this and alot of space appeared

Hi,

Try to create a parent group (column mode to fixed and columns to 3) and add your data group inside.

Hi,

Custom design should be justified and avoided as much as possible. In case you need to have the scenario like your second screenshot, then the custom design can be justified, You can also consider a grid where you display the details and have the current field group name as type field value.

Hi,

Usually, the custom pattern isn't the best solution to use unless you don't have any other options. Try to find the design pattern that close to your need, as the custom pattern need a lot of trial and sometimes make issues on some screen sizes (the design becomes not responsive).

About the grid, I was referring to something similar to the contact information on the customer or vendor details. See next screenshot.
